Every person or animal has two separate "bodies" — the physical body and the energetic body that overlays the physical body. The energetic body extends several feet out from our physical bodies and interacts with other people or animals. Acupuncture is actually the bridge between the energetic body and the physical body. When I am doing acupuncture, I am manipulating energy but through physical stimulation by the needle.
Emotions and the Energetic Body
“One of the many roles of our pets is to take on our energies and transmute them.
Emotions are generated and kept in the energetic body surrounding the physical body until they are released. If there is an emotion that isn't released and it's a low vibration emotion such as fear, grief, anger, etc., it can get stuck in the emotional body and will eventually go on to affect the physical body. One of my jobs is to identify where the emotions are trapped and help them release. I do this by evaluating the energetics of each chakra as well as using what's called the emotions code. I intuitively communicate with animals to better understand what's causing the emotions to get stuck.
These emotions could come from a variety of places, including past traumas (emotional or physical) directly affecting them (such as a poor upbringing), they may be taking on energies from their human owners, they may be taking on energies from the collective, or they may be working through generational energies. One of the many roles of our pets is to take on our energies and transmute them. Transmute simply means changing something from one form to another. Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, but it can be transmuted or changed into something else that is less toxic or harmful.

In general, animals are much better at transmuting and dealing with their own emotions (and ours) than we are because they always have all four paws on the ground, they have no ego, and are always living in the present moment. However, when an energy is particularly intense, deeply rooted, long-standing, or continually reinforced, and the animal is unable to fully release it, it can eventually manifest as physical dis-EASE.
The Healing Process
Once I determine which chakras are imbalanced and which emotions need to be released, I create a custom crystal grid that carries the healing energies needed to address those imbalances and emotions. I energetically "overlay" this grid onto your pet while in a meditative state. I also help clear energy that your pet sends to me — taking on what they cannot release and grounding it back to the earth.
How You Can Support the Healing at Home
There are a variety of ways we can support healing, including crystals, affirmations, water infusions, flower essences, and moving energies around chakras. I ask your pet what they would like, and they help guide me.
Working with Crystals
Crystals are solid materials whose atoms or molecules are arranged in a highly ordered, repeating pattern extending in all three spatial dimensions. This structure allows them to hold certain vibrations or energies. They release these vibrations into the environment. Our bodies and our pets' bodies also have certain vibrations that we are emitting, and when a crystal's vibration interacts with yours or your pet's, it can "tune" or balance the energy — like how a tuning fork can adjust the pitch of a musical instrument.

**How to use them:** Place crystals around the house in areas that your pet likes to lie. If your pet tends to eat things, make sure the crystals are too large for them to ingest or are in a place they can't get to. Cats like to "knock" things around, so it may be best to secure crystals with tape or put them underneath a bed where they won't move them around. Most pets will gravitate towards these areas if they want that healing.
**Making crystal water:** Get a large glass jar and place clean, charged crystals in the bottom. Ideally, allow the crystals to sit in the water for 12–24 hours, then pour this water into their drinking bowls (but don't put the crystals in the drinking bowl). This is safe for any animal in the house to drink. You can continue to refill the crystal jar daily.
**Crystals to avoid in drinking water:** selenite, malachite, azurite, cinnabar, lepidolite, sodalite, pyrite, turquoise, angelite, apophyllite, calcite, halite, kyanite, hematite, and lapis lazuli.
Selenite Cleansing
Selenite is a cleansing crystal, so you can use it to "sweep out" trapped emotions. Hold the selenite wand in your hand a few inches above your pet's body, running it from the top of their head to their tail, and say this affirmation in your mind: "I release any trapped emotions of \_\_\_\_\_\_\_." Do the sweep 3 times while saying this mantra and then say: "so it is." Do this exercise daily or a few times a week.
Basic Crystal Care
When you first receive your new crystals, wash them off (except selenite) by rinsing under tap water for a few seconds and drying. Crystals hold energies, and you want to make sure you clear any energies they may already be holding. Selenite is a soft crystal and a cleansing crystal — do not put selenite underwater because it will disintegrate. You can cleanse other crystals by placing them next to selenite for 12–24 hours. I prefer polished selenite rods for working with animals because unpolished ones tend to "shed" pieces that animals could ingest.
**Charging your crystals:** Place them in the sun for a few hours for an energizing effect, or under the moonlight overnight for a more sedating effect. To program them, put the crystal in your right hand and say something like: "I program this crystal with joy and may it support [pet's name] in his/her personal power, so it is."
**Where to find crystals:** My favorite crystal shop in Asheville is Points of Light on Merrimon Ave. For online orders, I like the local company throwinstones.com — they also have an Etsy store.
Affirmations

Ways to work with affirmations:
1. Write on a piece of paper "[Pet's name] is safe & loved." Put this around their collar, under their bed, or underneath one of the water bowls. 2. Say the affirmation aloud or in your mind to your pet daily. Intentional words carry powerful meaning.
Energetically Balancing the Chakras at Home
Perform this daily or a few times a week. You can work with each chakra individually or do a general chakra balancing for the whole animal.
1. **Start with clean hands.** Have yourself and your pet in a relaxed state. I do all of this work above the dog along the back, not the underside, but you can work from any angle if the pet is lying down. 2. **Take a few deep cleansing breaths** and rub your hands together until they are warm. 3. **Release energy:** Hover one of your hands 2–6 inches above the chakra and start doing slow counter-clockwise circles the width of the body. Say something to the effect of "I am releasing any energies from the \_\_\_\_\_\_ chakra that are ready to be released." Periodically, shake out your hands to release energy. Do this for about 2 minutes. You can use a selenite rod in your hand to magnify energy release. 4. **Shake out and wash your hands** before moving to the next step. You can also go outside and put your bare feet on the ground to release energy from you. 5. **Give energy:** Hover one of your hands 2–6 inches above the chakra and start doing slow clockwise circles the width of the body. Say something to the effect of "I am giving energy to balance the \_\_\_\_\_\_ chakra." You do not need to shake out your hands during this part because we are giving energy, not releasing it. Do this for about 2 minutes. You can hold a crystal in your hand that supports the specific chakra you are working with (for example, use rose quartz for the heart chakra).
How Long Will This Take?
This is unique to every being. Healing comes in waves or layers, and sometimes when you think you are done, you are just getting started. It's like peeling back layers of an onion. The timeline depends on how deep the traumas are, how willing the pet is to release them, whether the traumas are continuing to happen, and how consistent you can be with the daily work.
I recommend a remote recheck in about 2 weeks to see where your pet is at and if any changes need to be made to their routine. Beyond that, reach out when there are changes or you feel like they need additional work.
